Poems for the day

trees scatter
as i weave within them
making my path
i am deep with sorrow
talking to myself
as if i were true
laughing hyena
while my trek continues
deafening silence
through my ears
love affair
my journey once there
forsaken am i
fallacious lies
seducing surrender
permissible fate
i have chosen

lasting memories of her in my mind
sometimes dying i can’t go to bed
three in the morning, still pondering the thoughts
of what i did and should have done

truth has it made,  i’m not worthy of her
rejected little boy and his furry pal too
wondering when tomorrow will ever come
then realizing tomorrow was just yesterday

breakfast in bed, spilt coffee and scattered crumbs
hell is what I created
only to be awakened by stark reality
trying to understand the control of what I had

fallacies were created, to make myself feel better
but only hurt her who I loved so dear
in turn the pain was transferred and the transaction complete
leaving two people in love and so far away
