The middle, the meat, the toppings, the condiments, we know this very well…  That’s the area in space and time, where we are able to manipulate, understand and conquer.  This is where our laws of science work, and we have expanded our understanding through this type of manipulation.  The middle is only a limited understanding of the world and our universe, as we still truly don’t know the beginning or the end (we have theoretical models based in mathematics and physics).  But, it is the start of something much larger than science.   We are just know beginning to evolve into a deeper understanding of ourselves and the universe around us.  As we begin to understand more of this, our initial understandings of the universe begin to look elementary.  C-E relationships become more understood.  Therefore, the reasons and/or beliefs of many are proven to be wrong.  Rain dances, praying, sacrifices, and other rituals begin to sound like a sports star’s superstitions – like wearing the same jock strap everyday.  They see a C-E, when in reality there isn’t.  The beginning of human understanding of the universe is in the middle.  We can manipulate and study the middle, because we are currently in the middle.  We cannot manipulate the beginning or the end. However, I predict that at some point, we will be able to simulate a beginning and perhaps even an ending.  And further, even create a new universe (there are currently simulations of the big bang, like the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics’ computer simulation).  But for now, we are focused on our middle.
