Sometimes you can sit and talk with a friend, lover, family member, or a complete stranger and before you know it, hours have past.  Those are the connections everyone is seeking.  Connections that bring us closer together.  It’s almost like gravity – a strong force that attracts objects together.  From this point of view, I can see how some would believe of reincarnation and past lives – they find connections with others that seem almost magical.  Their explanation is that two people shared a previous life as humans or even in a different form (such as animals or even inanimate objects).  Others feel that these connections are a result of the “opposites attract” theory.  People are seeking to fill a void/weakness in their character/soul and find those that have strengths where they have weaknesses (like a jigsaw puzzle).  Or maybe even these two were created by a higher being to be destined for each other (soulmate).  Or maybe its someone trying to seek out another person who is like themselves.  Or maybe this is all too much analysis and means absolutely nothing.
